With the progress the EPC has made on the Eco-City Charter and Environmental Action Plan, the co-Chair introduced a motion for the EPC to renew its commitment to Alexandria’s Adopt-A-Block Program. After short deliberation, the members of the EPC unanimously agreed to resume its participation in the program, which had been unofficially suspended while it was drafting the Charter and Phase I of the Environmental Action Plan. Pursurant to the requirements of the program, the EPC has committed itself to cleaning up boths sides of King Street from Quaker Lane to I-395 four times per year for two years.
